Services (Technical Education Department) (Cadre and Recruitment) Rules, 2024

The draft of the Karnataka Education Department Services (Technical Education Department) (Cadre

and Recruitment) Rules, 2024, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the

powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act,

1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) is hereby published as required by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 3

of the said Act, for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that

the said draft will be taken into consideration after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official

Gazette.

Any objection or suggestion which may be received by the State Government from any person with

respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the State

Government. Objections and suggestions may be addressed to the Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, 2nd Gate, 6th floor, M.S Building, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedi, Bengaluru-560001 or by

the E-mail ID: - undersecretaryte@gmail.com.

DRAFT RULES

1. Title and Commencement: - (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Education Department

Services (Technical Education Department) (Cadre and Recruitment) Rules, 2024.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the official Gazette.

2. Method of Recruitment and Minimum Qualification: -The Karnataka Education Department Service

(Technical Education Department) shall consist of such categories of posts with scales of pay as specified in

column (2) of the Schedule below, their number, the method of recruitment and minimum qualification, shall

be as specified in the corresponding entries column (3), (4), (5),(6) and (7) thereof.

3. Repeal and Savings: - (1) The Karnataka Education Department Services (Mining Education

Department) (Recruitment) Rules, 1974 and the Karnataka Education Department Services (Technical

Education Department) (Recruitment) Rules, 2006 are hereby repealed:

Provided that, such repeal shall not affect,-

(a) The previous operation of the said rules or anything duly done or any action taken under the said

rules; or

(b) Any right, privilege, obligation or liability already acquired, accrued or incurred under the said

rules.
