Corrigendum & addendum no. 1 regarding enhancement of notified vacancies for the post of technicians of CEN 02/2024

ENHANCEMENT OF NOTIFIED VACANCIES FOR THE POST OF TECHNICIANS

1. Railway Recruitment Boards have published CEN No. 02/2024 for the recruitment of

Technicians with 9144 nos. vacancies for open line (18 Categories) all over the Indian

Railways. A review has been undertaken in view of additional demand received from

Workshops & Pus (22 Categories) and now the vacancies of Technicians stand

enhanced to 14298 nos. for 40 Categories. 

2. The community wise/ category wise position of above revised vacancies for various 

posts for all RRBs are enclosed herewith as “CEN No. 02/2024- Revised Vacancy 

Table: Annexure B-1”.This supercedes Annexure-B of CEN No. 02/2024. 

3. The post parameters (i.e. qualification, medical standard & suitability of the posts 

for PwBD etc.) for newly added categories for Workshops/PUs (19 to 40) are 

enclosed herewith as Annexure A-1 as an addendum to Annexure-A of CEN No. 

02/2024.

4. The education qualifications & medical standards and PwBD attributes being different for 

some new categories of posts added for Workshops & PUs under CEN No. 02/2024 an 

opportunity will be given to fresh eligible candidates to apply against CEN No. 

02/2024.The link for submission of online application for the fresh eligible 

candidates will be live shortly for a period of 15 days on the official websites of all 

the RRBs. 

5. The existing candidates will also be given opportunity to change their option of RRB 

along with preference for Zonal Railway (s)/Workshop(s)/PUs within the opted RRB as 

well as preference for various categories of posts within the earlier opted RRB. The link 

for modification for the existing eligible candidates will be live shortly for a period 

of 15 days on the official websites of all the RRBs. 

6. All other terms and conditions of the CEN No. 02/2024 (TECHNICIANS) will remain 

unchanged. Candidates are advised to keep visiting official websites of RRBs.
