Declaration of Final Result of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination, 2023
The Staff Selection Commission declared the result of Computer Based Examination
of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination, 2023 on 24.11.2023. In the said result, a
total of 3596 candidates were declared qualified for appearing in Stenography Skill Test for
the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 18299 candidates were declared qualified for
appearing in Stenography Skill Test for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’. 1901
candidates appeared in the Stenography Skill Test for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’
and 9947 candidates appeared in the Stenography Skill Test for the post of Stenographer
Grade ‘D’.
2. As per provisions of the Notice of the said Examination, Document Verification (DV)
would be done by the Indenting/User Departments. Accordingly, in accordance with the
Notice No. HQ-PPII010/1/2023-PP_II (E-3789) dated 30.01.2024 of the Commission,
Option-cum-preference has been taken online from 30.01.2024 to 02.02.2024 from the
candidates, who had appeared in Stenography Skill Test Examination. Accordingly, 8702
candidates who have submitted their preference online have been considered for further
selection process.
3. Commission has fixed the category wise cut-off on percentage of error/ mistakes
allowed in Skill Test as under: 
 (i) Stenographer Grade ‘C’: up to 5% mistakes for UR and up to 7% mistakes 
 for all reserved category candidates. 
 (ii) Stenographer Grade ‘D’: up to 7% mistakes for UR and up to 10% mistakes 
 for all reserved category candidates. 
4. As per the provisions of Notice of Examination, allocation of Posts and Departments 
has been made on the basis of merit-cum-‘order of preference’ of ‘Posts/Departments’ 
submitted by the candidates online. Subject to their qualifying in the Document Verification 
to be conducted by the respective User Departments, candidates have been provisionally 
shortlisted for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ &’D’ in different Ministry/ Departments/
