Brif Information About Our Indian Flag

The national flag of India is also known as the Tiranga, which means "tricolor" in Hindi. It consists of three horizontal bands of equal width, with colors saffron, white, and green, and a blue chakra (wheel) in the center.

Here's what each color and symbol represents:

- Saffron (top band): Courage, sacrifice, and the spirit of renunciation
- White (middle band): Purity, truth, and peace
- Green (bottom band): Faith, fertility, and prosperity
- Blue Chakra (Ashoka Chakra): The eternal wheel of law, symbolizing dharma (righteousness) and the pursuit of justice

The flag was designed by Pingali Venkayya and adopted on July 22, 1947, just before India gained independence from British rule.

Some interesting facts about the Indian national flag:

- The flag is made of khadi, a hand-spun cotton fabric
- The saffron color is a deep shade, known as "kesari"
- The Ashoka Chakra has 24 spokes, representing the 24 hours of
logoblog
