How To Check Your Name On Voter List 2024
The Loksabha elections 2024 are just around the corner, and the voting process for the same will take place in a single phase on April and May Months of 2024. However, many people are still unable to check their names in the voter’s list in Karnataka.
Ahead of the Loksabha elections 2024, one must check their name in the voter’s list to see if they are eligible to cast their votes or not, and also check their voting centre. This can be done through the individual EPIC number of the voter.
The Election Commission of India issues the Electors Photo Identification Card or EPIC number to all voters, which is present on the voter ID card of the person. One can check their names on the voter’s list through their unique EPIC number.
How to check name in voter’s list?
Step-1 Log on to Election Commission website electoralsearch.eci.gov.in
Step-2 Voter will see two options to find his/her name -- search by details and search by EPIC number
Step-3 In the first option, a voter can enter details like name, age, date of birth, gender, state name etc.
Or
Step-3 In the second option, a voter can enter the EPIC number of the Voter ID card
Step-4 select the state
Step-5 After entering the captcha code, the voter will have to click on search
As per the Election Commission guidelines, a voter has to carry two documents to the polling booth to cast his/her vote -- the Voter ID card and any one of the documents listed on the ECI website, which include Aadhaar card and PAN card.
