Voter ID Registration in Karnataka 

Government of India has introduced voter ID cards that serve as identification for all eligible voters. The Election Commission creates voter ID cards that are specific to each state to prevent malpractice and fraud during elections.  

In Karnataka, citizens can easily apply for inclusion in the electoral roll and deletion or modification online through the Chief Electoral Officer of Karnataka. With over 225 assembly constituencies and 28 parliamentary constituencies, elections in Karnataka are conducted in accordance with the Constitution of India. Citizens can apply for a Voter ID card online in Karnataka easily and exercise their duty during elections.


How to Apply for Voter ID Online.

Voter ID Application Online in Karnataka:
Step 1: Visit the website of CEO Karnataka. In the homepage, you will be asked to register if you are a new user. You will have to specify your name and email id and the login details will be sent to your phone via SMS. 

Step 2: Once you have logged in, select the option to apply for a fresh Voter ID. You will be asked to fill the Form 6 completely for the inclusion of your details in the electoral roll. 

Step 3: In Form 6, you will have to provide information like place of birth, spouse’s name, parent’s name, age, present address and also the details of other family members whose names have already been included in the electoral roll. 

Step 4: You will also have to upload all necessary documents on the site including photographs and KYC documents. 

Step 5: Once all this is done, you can submit the application form after which a reference number will be provided. Using this reference number, you can make enquiries regarding the application for your new Voter ID. 

Step 6: Once the application is reviewed, the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit your residence to check the details and will further process your application. Once your application is approved, the Voter ID will be sent to your residential address.
