Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is
Born on November 14, 1889, into a Kashmiri Brahmin family in Allahabad (now Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh, Nehru dedicated his life to the country's freedom movement and building the nation post-Independence. Pandit Nehru's birth anniversary is celebrated as Children's Day every year to honour his love for children.

Jawahar Lal Nehru Jayanti is being celebrated today, on November 14, 2023. Jawahar Lal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of India. This day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Jawahar Lal Nehru. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru was a great man who used to love children very much that is why this day is also celebrated as Children's Day. He was very famous among children with the name Chacha Nehru.

He was born to Motilal Nehru and Swarup Rani Nehru on November 14, 1889, in Allahabad. On May 27, 1964 and he took his last breath in Teen Murti Bhavan, New Delhi. He actively played an important role in India’s history through his modern values and ways of thinking, which he adapted to change India’s condition.
He played a significant role in India’s freedom struggle, bringing reforms in education to make India a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic republic and establishing institutions for primary and higher education.
